Janene has been a registered Clinical Psychologist since 2006. She has worked predominantly in an acute mental health inpatient setting and has now found her home in Private Practice. She has provided treatment to individuals presenting with a range of mental health difficulties, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, bereavement, adjustment difficulties, psychosis, and personality disorder. She utilises a range of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Janene has a particular interest in eating disorders and is trained in CBT-Enhanced (CBT-E) and Maudsley Family Based Therapy (for eating disorders). For many years, Janene has overseen the training and supervision of Clinical Psychology Masters Students and Registrar Clinical Psychologists. We have personally known and worked alongside Janene for a number of years, and she is a much-valued member of our team. Janene works predominantly with teens and adults and accepts Mental Health Care Plans and Eating Disorder Management Plans, as well as private referrals.
Aside from her knowledge, experience, and high standards of care provision, Janene’s trademark is her relatable warmth, calming demeanour, and good sense of humour!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
- Master of Clinical Psychology
- AHPRA Approved Supervisor for graduates enrolled in the Clinical Psychologists Registrar Program
